At Teen Connect Adventures, our mission is to provide teens with transformative, rugged outdoor adventures that immerse them in nature and diverse cultures. Through activities like camping, hiking, zip-lining, boating, exploring caves, waterfalls, and mountain tops, we aim to take teens out of their comfort zones to help them discover their inner strengths, forge meaningful connections with others, and engage deeply with the world around them.
We strive to offer teens the opportunity to unplug, discover themselves, build friendships, experience belonging, and build confidence in who they truly are.

Recognizing the increasing pressures on teenagers to meet societal expectations without adequate support, we are dedicated to fostering hope, meaning, and a sense of belonging. We believe that by providing these outdoor adventures, we can cultivate a generation of young people who are confident in their true selves and capable of changing the world, one adventure at a time.

Kirsten McCormick
My first service trip to the Philippines at age 16 showed me how to be high on life, friendships and experiences and somehow that stuck with me. Throughout my career in youth work - from outdoor camps to theater - I've seen how being truly seen and heard empowers young people.
Recently, I developed a program for teens in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, focused on face-to-face connections and community building. Now, with Teen Connect Adventure Camps, we're bringing US youth to Central Mexico for immersive experiences. Teenagers today are more stressed out than ever with increasing pressures to look, think, and "perform" for a society that offers expectations without support. We aim to give them the opportunity to unplug, discover themselves, build friendships, and find confidence in who they really are.

Kirsten is a very competent leader of Teen Connect and my husband and I feel very secure handing our teenagers over to her knowing that Kirsten has a strong structure in place and a support team to help her implement each activity with ease and safety.
The activities that Kirsten chooses to teach are skilled based with an emphasis on empowering each teen.
